Surgical Exposure for Orthodontics
Occasionally, teeth do not come in as they should. They can be impacted by bone or soft tissue. Eruption can be impeded by the position of the impacted tooth or adjacent teeth.
Dr. McKenzie often assists orthodontists by exposing teeth that will not come in on their own. After surgically exposing an impacted tooth Dr. McKenzie may place a orthodontic bracket on the tooth assisting the orthodontic process of bringing the tooth into proper position.
